The Marina at Sutton Harbour sits in the heart of Plymouth’s historic quarter, which boasts a range of attractions in its own right and is an excellent base for exploring the rest of this vibrant waterfront city.
Right on the doorstep you will find narrow cobbled streets, Elizabethan warehouses, specialist shops, art galleries, cafés and restaurants. From here you can discover the Mayflower Steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the New World or take a short stroll to Plymouth Hoe with its breathtaking views over Plymouth Sound and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park beyond.
Nearby is Plymouth City Centre, with Drake Circus Shopping Centre and its vibrant Independent Quarter offering everything from boutique shops to big name brands. Plymouth’s Theatre Royal and Barbican Leisure Park, with its 15-screen cinema, are also both within easy walking distance.
Even closer to home you will find the National Marine Aquarium, the UK’s biggest aquarium, and also Plymouth Gin, the oldest working gin distillery in England which was founded in 1793.
