Sutton Harbour Marina is located in the heart of Plymouth’s historic Barbican, with a choice of restaurants and bars to suit every taste and every pocket. Try some fresh, locally-caught fish in one of the waterside restaurants, or just sample the atmosphere in one of a choice of traditional pubs and contemporary bars – all within a few minutes stroll of any of our marina berths.
Head into the city centre of Plymouth for a wide choice of big-name shops, many of which are located in the new Drake Circus shopping mall. And if shopping is not your scene, just take a walk onto Plymouth Hoe for breathtaking views of Plymouth Sound.
Plymouth is a great city, but it also benefits from being an ideal spot from which to explore the South West. Stay on the water and you’re spoiled for choice. Explore the River Tamar, which works its way majestically from city waterfront to hidden inland gems like Calstock and Cotehele. Or head east and venture up the River Yealm, dropping anchor to try out one of the delightful waterside pubs.
When you’ve had enough of the water, take to dry land and experience some of the many attractions offered by Devon and Cornwall. Visit the world-famous Eden Project, or the wild and atmospheric Dartmoor. Take a trip to Cornwall’s north coast and treat yourself to a culinary experience at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant or the Jamie Oliver inspired Fifteen Cornwall, or just head for a beach and enjoy the simple pleasure of a little sand between the toes.
